Georgiana has worked in Public Government for the past thirty-seven (37) years. During this time, she began her career as an Adult Protective Services Investigator but quickly moved into multiple administrative positions including her current position as Program and Contract Manager with the Division of Human & Veteran Services. She is currently responsible for all aspects of the CoC, HMIS and Contract Compliance for all homeless funds which include: federal contracts and grants i.e. CoC, ESG, HOME, State Grants and Local Ad Valorem funds. She is also responsible for the implementation of the PBC Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness and the Homeless Advisory Board who is responsible for educating the Board of County Commissioners on homeless issues and unmet needs.
Georgiana has a keen understanding of HUD policy and has successfully navigated a CoC through multiple changes. She has proactively led the CoC in anticipation of HUD changes and has implemented standards for all programs, reallocated all transitional housing programs into PSH ahead of NOFA guidelines and secured varied and multiple funding sources for the previously HUD funded TH programs. She has successfully grown a struggling CoC starting with only 10 member agencies into a Continuum of over 60 active member agencies and an active Governance board of 13 members.
